With the help of Dan Brown and Eliane’s father Andre Simard I have made a case for my telescope. It is made from 5/8 inch plywood, stained with an ebony stain, with 3 layers of poly urethane and held together with construction glue and nails. The case’s edges are lined with aluminium angles. The lid is held down by 4 draw latches and there are handles on each side. The inside of the case is lined, top and bottom, with the original packing styrofoam for the telescope. Some extra compartments were made for eyepieces. It adds quite a bit of weight to carrying the scope, however it definitely keeps the telescope very snug and safe.
