I Drove out to Chartierville, a bit south of Mont Megantic. Dark Sky Finder showed the area as a light grey dark site. I backed into a lane just off the road in the middle of nowhere and set up behind the car. First galaxy I saw was the sombrero, best was the whirlpool.
I also was able to very faintly see some nebulae. The dumbbell was perhaps the most visible at the time. It was a very cold night and eventually it was the frost that forced me to pack up for the night as it had started to cover the lens of the telescope.
